A Cheap iPad from India


A great news coming from India, India announced a prototype tablet computer that is only valued around 1,500 rupees (or about $ 35), and even possible the price will continue fall . Gadget still do not have names and are still in development stage.

At first glance, this Linux-based computers like the Apple iPad with basic functions like any other tablet computers, such as web browser, multimedia player, PDF reader, wi-fi, and the ability to video conference  . I Pad has 2 GB of memory (but without hard drive) and USB port.
Although the price is so cheap, but whether society and the government hopes the price could be lowered to $ 20 or even to $ 10.
But this is still in prototype phase, so this technology can be developed however continue to get maximum results.
The tablet is a part of India’s major initiatives aimed at improving the education system. Nearly 8500 colleges in India already have broadband connectivity, and there are about 500 web-based courses and videos available that can be found on youtube or other online portals, and this number will continue to rise.
