Apple Clarification on Location Tracking Data
After a long silence about allegations tracking user location data is cornered, Apple finally made ββan official clarification that Apple does not track the user’s location data. But Steve Jobs stated-owned company, found bugs or gaps that lead to large amounts of location data stored in the device.
Apple explained that the controversy that circulated in the community is because the user has made ββ’confused’ by the problem of technical complexity of this issue. And the purpose of the Apple device is actually storing geographic data to provide location-based services such as map directions. The location data stored in the iPhone and iPad not track the user’s presence, but the database for the nearest cell tower and WiFi access is already known to Apple.
iPhone and iPad can also use the location data. For example, to calculate the distance when driving or offer coupons at the nearest store product promotions.
To ease the chaotic news, Apple to include Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO is still in a period of medical treatment, to answer questions about data collection. To the Wall Street Journal, Jobs said that Apple does not track anyone. He also promised the next software update will fix the existing gap and reduce the amount of data stored on the device location.
